Don’t the symbols on the product conflict with the claims?

Flammability does not impact the environmental acceptability (“greenness”) in a product as flammable can be considered environmentally preferred for other reasons. A material that is highly flammable can at the same time be biodegradable because it is reactive under environmental conditions and it does not contribute to the formation of ground level ozone or other pollutants in air. It is therefore considered a non-VOC for product VOC content reporting purposes which is a important property not shared by over 90% of other organic solvents used for similar purposes.

For corrosiveness, that property may not impact environmental acceptability (“greenness”). A product containing over 20% Potassium Hydroxide is definitely corrosive to many reactive metals such as aluminium and is also immediately toxic to most aquatic organisms at this concentration. However at concentrations lower than this Potassium Hydroxide while still considered corrosive to reactive metals but is considerably less toxic to most aquatic organisms at these lower concentrations and will rapidly dilute further in ambient waters to be of no consequence to the environment as it is no longer immediately toxic to a variety of aquatic organisms, it is therefore considered “green” at these concentrations (<20%).
